Hey, I'm Karl.

I'm a senior engineer on the SLAM (simultaneous localization and mapping) team at Toyota Research Institute and before that was a senior research engineer at UM & Ford Center for Autonomous Vehicles (FCAV) at the University of Michigan.
In the summer of 2016 I took the summer off as a learning sabbatical focused on machine learning and before that lead product and engineering at Food52.
I'm a board member at Leave it Better Foundation and a mentor for the student robotics team at Ypsilanti STEMM Middle College
I'm a huge Detroit Pistons fan—my brother and I have a podcast about them.
You can find me on Twitter, Github, Instagram, Food52, and read a more detailed work history on LinkedIn.
